15 AQI suspects arrested in Sinjar

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi army forces detained 15 suspected members of Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) in a search raid in villages of the district of Sinjar, 120 km west of Mosul, a security source told IraqiNews.com news agency on Friday. The source did not give further details about the operation. Authorities in Sinjar had announced a vehicle ban in the district on Thursday (March 12) as joint Iraqi army and police forces backed by Multi-National Force (MNF) personnel, conducted raids on certain areas and villages in Sinjar in search of gunmen.
