Iraq to ask for fair water quota at Istanbul conf. – source

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq will call during a meeting of the 5th world water forum in Istanbul on Monday for an agreement to be signed by the countries sharing the rivers Tigris and Euphrates to guarantee a fair water quota, an official source at the water resources ministry said on Saturday. “Water Resources Minister Abdullatif Rasheed will lead a high-ranking official delegation to the forum scheduled for March 16-22 in the Turkish city of Istanbul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency.
