Wanted tribe’s sheikh arrested in Hilla

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested a chieftain for “security reasons” north of Hilla city, a source from Babel province’s police said on Saturday. “Sheikh Majid Ahmed, a tribal leader in al-Iskandariya district (50 km north of Hilla), was arrested on terror charges,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The source also said that police forces seized 50 kg of explosives in addition to a quantity of arms and ammunition in Jorfal-Sakhar district, 60 km northwest of Hilla.
