4 AQI members arrested in Baaquba

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen in Diala captured four members of Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) network in central Baaquba city on Sunday, the province’s police chief said. “The policemen raided several areas in central Baaquba, detaining four AQI operatives who are wanted by the authorities in accordance with Article 4 of the law on terrorism,” Maj. General Abdulhussein al-Shimari told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Twenty-one mortar shells and munitions of small and medium weapons were seized in the raid,” Shimari said, not giving more details.
