55 projects worth ID43b in Thi-Qar

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Fifty-five projects worth more than 43 billion Iraqi dinars (ID) were finalized within the framework of the Provincial Development Budget (PDB) for the year 2008, a local official said on Sunday. “Forty-four projects of them were finalized by 100% while advanced rates were achieved in the remaining 11,” an official source in Thi-Qar’s reconstruction board said in statements published the National Information Center as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “These projects, all of them are located in the city of al-Nassiriya, included the completion of stages in strategic projects, speed breakers, sidewalks and fountains,” he said. He added that the province has allocated ID12 billion (one dollar equals 1,170 ID) to set up 16 projects in a number of residential sections. Thi-Qar has finalized 250 projects during 2008. AmR (P) 1
