FM says Iraq ready to help ICRC

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari on Wednesday received in his Baghdad-based office the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and expressed his country’s willingness to help the committee do its job. “Zebari received Jakob Kellenberger, who is currently on a visit to Iraq to assess the situation in the country and to hold talks of mutual concern,” according to a ministry statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Zebari assured Kellenberger that the Iraqi government and Foreign Ministry are ready to offer all assistance to the committee in its work in the country, the statement noted. SS (P)/SR 1
