Body of Iraqi soldier found near Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The body of an Iraqi soldier was found in a village south of Mosul city, according to a security source from the Ninewa police on Sunday. “Policemen found on Saturday (March 21) evening the body of an Iraqi soldier in al-Zawya village, al-Qiyara district, (60 km) south of Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The body has shown signs of having been shot in the head and chest,” the source added. He said that the soldier had been kidnapped two days ago while he was on a leave of absence. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P)/SR 1
