Transport minister invites French companies to invest in Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Transport Minister Amir Abduljabbar invited French companies on Sunday to invest in the Iraqi transport sector, noting his ministry is proposing joint ventures in many transport fields. Abduljabbar gave the statements during his meeting with French ambassador to Iraq Jean-Francois Girault at the transport ministry headquarters. “The meeting reviewed developments and French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s recent visit to Iraq,” according to a ministry release received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The meeting dealt with bilateral cooperation in the transport domain and ways to boost economic and trade relations between the two countries,” it added.
