10 wanted men nabbed in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Ten wanted persons on Wednesday were arrested on criminal and terror-related charges in Basra province, according to the media office of the local police. “During raids in different parts of the province, 10 wanted men, including a three-member gang involved in murder and theft offences, were captured in al-Zubeir and Safwan farms, western Basra,” the office told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A total of 22 Kalashnikov rifles and an amount of ammunition were seized in their possession,” it noted. “Sixteen unlicensed vehicles and nine motorbikes were confiscated during the raids,” according to the office.
