4 schoolkids killed, wounded by IED

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Four schoolchildren on Wednesday were killed or wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated in Mosul city, according to local medics. “Three children were killed and a fourth was wounded when an explosive charge went off while they were leaving school in al-Rashidiya area, northern Mosul,” a medic told IraqiNews.com news agency. The device, placed inside a garbage can, targeted a U.S. army patrol vehicle, the medic added. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. SS (P) 1
