Authorities plan to open major road in GZ to the public – BOC

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A committee has been formed under the supervision of Premier Nouri al-Maliki, the supreme commander of the armed forces, to open Al-Tashreaa Street in the Green Zone (GZ) to the public within the coming two months, the spokesperson of Baghdad Operations Command said on Wednesday. “Other committees have also been formed to rehabilitate this road before its re-opening within the coming two months,” General Qassim Atta told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Opening this street will minimize traffic jams in Baghdad,’ he said.
