2 killed, 3 poisoned in gas leak near Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Two people were killed and three others poisoned after gas leaked from an oil well that the five of them were trying to steal south of Mosul city on Sunday, a police source in Ninewa said. “Five people were trying to steal crude oil during the late hours of Saturday night from a well near al-Qiyara refinery, (60 km) south of Mosul, but a gas leakage killed two of them and poisoned three others,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The police removed the two bodies to a morgue in Mosul and remanded the three poisoned persons inside a hospital,” the source added.
