At least 7 killed in Basra blast

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Seven persons on Sunday were killed in an explosive charge blast that ripped through southern Basra, according to a local medic. “This morning, Basra General Hospital received a corpse belonging to a policeman, in addition to six others belonging to sanitation workers,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Several others were wounded in the blast, which security forces said occurred on Sinaoya Himdan road (5 km south of Basra),” the source added.
