Kirkuk blast final toll reaches 9

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Casualties from the car bomb blast that ripped through Kirkuk city earlier today have reached nine, all civilians, according to an official security source. “The final toll from the car bomb that went off in northern Kirkuk has reached nine wounded, all civilians,” a source from the Joint Coordination Center told IraqiNews.com news agency. Damage was reported to four stores and three vehicles, which were close to the scene of the blast, the source added. The blast occurred at 04:00 p.m. in al-Shorja area near Mama Risha intersection, northern Kirkuk. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
