President Talabani arrives in Arbil to meet Barzani

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani arrived in Salah el-Din resort, north of Arbil, on Wednesday and held a meeting upon his arrival with the Kurdish President Massoud Barzani, a presidential source said. “The president arrived in Salah el-Din resort, north of Arbil, leading a delegation of the political bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and held a meeting with Kurdistan’s President Massoud Barzani,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The meeting tackled the political developments in Iraq,” he added. President Jalal Talabani is the leader of the PUK, one of two main Kurdish parties. The other one, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), is led by the Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barazani. Arbil is 364 km northeast of Baghdad. SH (P) 1
