Gunman arrested while planting IED in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces on Sunday arrested a gunman while he was planting an improvised explosive device (IED) in front of a police headquarters in Mosul city, according to a security source. “The gunman was arrested while planting the device at the entrance of al-Hadbaa police department in Bab al-Toub area, downtown Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A bag containing two IEDs was found in his possession,” the source noted, adding that an investigation is currently underway.
