74 suspects, wanted men arrested in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested 74 suspects and wanted men and seized amounts of weapons and ammunitions during a wide-scale security operation waged on Monday in separate areas of Basra, the media office of the Basra police said. “Police forces launched wide-scale crackdown operations in north and west of Basra, where 39 wanted men and 35 suspected gunmen were arrested,” the office told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The forces seized 5 guns and mortar shells,” it added.
