New Baghdad governor elected

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Salah Abdulrazzaq, a candidate running on Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s Dawlat al-Qanoon (State of Law) list, was elected on Sunday as the new governor of Baghdad. The election of Abdulrazzaq came during a session of the Baghdad provincial council. The election of his deputies was postponed until the Tuesday session. AmR (P)/SR 3
