Talabani, al-Maliki mull developments in Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Monday discussed a number of issues with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in Baghdad, according to a presidential statement. “Talabani discussed with al-Maliki on Monday (April 13) the latest developments in Iraq and a number of important issues,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Al-Maliki posted Talabani on the outcome of his recent visit to Russia and his talks with the Russian officials,” it added. “The president expressed happiness with the success of al-Maliki’s visit to Russia, asserting the importance of developing ties between the two countries in political, economic and oil fields,” it said.
