Al-Maliki chairs meeting to discuss political prisoners’ rights

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Wednesday chaired a meeting to discuss the rights and needs of al-Shuhadaa (martyrs) and political prisoners institutions with the attendance of planning, municipalities and reconstruction ministers. “We work for achieving the best for the political prisoners and the martyrs’ families to discuss their needs and to guarantee their rights,” al-Maliki said in a statement released by his office and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “We have to solve the financial and administrative problems related to the al-Shuhadaa and the political prisoners institutions,” the premier also said.
