IHEC begins registering political blocs in Kurdish elections

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) in Kurdistan on Wednesday started registering the political blocs which want to take part in the coming parliamentary elections, scheduled to be held this year. “We began on Wednesday (April 15) the registration process of the political blocs which want to participate in the coming parliamentary elections,” head of the IHEC, Ali Qader, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Any bloc which wants to participate has to submit a request to the IHEC as of today (April 15) until April 24,” he explained. The time of the elections has not been fixed yet due to a financial problem which hampers the work of the IHEC. SH (P) 1
