MP urges Japan to open petroleum university in southern Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The chairman of the foreign relations committee in the Iraqi Parliament on Wednesday called on the Japanese government to found a petroleum university in southern Iraq and to organize joint Iraq-Japanese exhibitions. The remark came during Hammam Hammoudi’s reception of the Japanese ambassador to Baghdad, according to a statement released by his media office. Hammoudi urged Japan to activate the outcome of talks, which have been held recently between Iraqi parliamentarians and Japanese officials.
