79 suspects, wanted men nabbed in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces on Thursday arrested 14 wanted men and 65 suspected gunmen during a security operation in Basra, the media office of the Basra police said. “Police forces on Thursday (April 16) waged a wide-scale crackdown operation in separate areas of Basra, where they detained 14 wanted men and 65 suspected gunmen,” the office told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The anti-bomb squad defused a roadside bomb, planted on the road near al-Shefaa hospital in northern Basra,” he added.
