Presidential decrees to appoint governors of Thi-Qar, Babel

Iraq-Decree BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Presidential Board issues two decrees on Wednesday to appoint the governors of Thi-Qar and Babel provinces. The Council appointed Taleb Kazem Abdulkarim al-Hassan as a governor of Thi-Qar. The Thi-Qar provincial council elected al-Hassan as a governor and Hassa Layoos and Haydar Bunyan as his deputies during the session held on (April 16). The Presidential Board also issued another decree to appoint Nasser Taha Kaleel al-Zurqani as a governor of Babel province. He was elected by the Babl provincial council as a governor last April 18, while Eskandar Wattout and Sadeq al-Muhna were elected as his two deputies. SH (P)/SR 1
