Deputy PM, U.S. delegation discuss IDPs problems in Ninewa

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Deputy Premier Rafie al-Issawi on Wednesday met with a U.S. delegation to discuss the problems facing internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ninewa province. “Today, Issawi received in his Baghdad-based office a U.S. delegation led by Ambassador Robert Ford, the official in charge of the refugees file at the U.S. embassy in Iraq, and discussed with him the security situation and the mechanisms for returning displaced persons in Ninewa province,” according to a statement released by Issawi’s office and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The meeting also tackled the ongoing talks with the local government regarding the situation of the U.S. forces in the province. SS (P)/SR 1
