Gunmen kill Iraqi soldier in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi soldier was killed by unidentified gunmen in eastern Mosul city, according to a police source in Ninewa on Friday. “Unidentified gunmen assassinated during a late hour of Thursday night (April 30) an Iraqi soldier near his home in al-Zahraa neighborhood, eastern Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The gunmen opened fire at the soldier who was on a leave of absence from his unit,” the source said. “The body was removed to a morgue in the city,” he added, not giving further details.
