VP, U.S. amb. discuss bilateral relations

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Vice President Adel Abdulmahdi discussed on Monday with the new U.S. ambassador in Baghdad, Christopher Hill, recent developments in Iraq and means of furthering bilateral relations, according to a release by Abdulmahdi’s office. “Vice President Abdulmahdi discussed a number of topics with Ambassador Hill, who succeeded Ambassador Ryan Crocker,” the release read as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The new ambassador stressed the United States’ support for Iraq’s political process and democratic march as well as cooperation between Iraq and the U.S. in the service of the two friendly countries’ interests,” it added.
