Finance Ministry pays 20% of regional projects’ funds

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Finance Ministry on Wednesday announced that it has paid 20 percent of the funds allocated for regional development investment projects, stressing that provinces should submit projects’ execution budgets; otherwise, funding would stop. “The funds are related to the year 2009,” the ministry said in a release received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The ministry is working to remove all the obstacles related to funding so that provinces can develop,” it added.
