U.S. army denies arresting 4 Sadrists

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The media spokesman for the Multinational forces on Wednesday said that Iraqi forces arrested the four Sadrists not the U.S. army. “Iraqi forces detained four elements of the Sadrist bloc,” Salam Saeed told IraqiNews.com news agency, denying recent reports which indicated that the U.S. forces arrested the four Sadrists. The media office of the Sadrist bloc had said earlier that the U.S. troops arrested four Sadrists in eastern Baghdad. The Sadrist bloc, led by Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, has 29 seats out of the 275-seat parliament. SH (P) 1
