Security is basis of political process- Maliki

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Saturday described security as the basis of the political process in Iraq. “Security must be provided because it is the basis for the political process…,” Maliki today said in a speech at a tribal conference in Baghdad, which was attended by IraqiNews.com news agency. The premier praised the role of Iraqi tribes in helping government forces maintain security and national security. Commenting on security and reconstruction efforts in the country, Maliki said that companies which had left Iraq due to bad security conditions are currently competing to return. SS (P) 1
