Police arrest two persons in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested two people during a security raid in central Kirkuk and found explosives in their possession, a senior police officer said on Friday. “Policemen on late Thursday (May 14) arrested two persons and found explosives in their possession while raiding their houses in Qauriya neighborhood behind the Kirkuk public hospital at the center of the city,” Colonel Ahmad Shmirani told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The forces seized 3kg of TNT, 4 hand grenades and two rocket propelled grenades,” he added. “The operation was launched in light of intelligence information and with citizens’ cooperation,” He also said.
