Political stability prerequisite for investment

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Sunday highlighted security and stability as the main pillars of investment, saying that his government will continue its crackdown on corruption. “Reconstruction cannot be accomplished through money and projects alone, which will not bring in companies unless the convenient conditions for investment exist,” Maliki said during the conference on legal framework of investment, according to a statement released by his office and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “We will continue our fight against corruption and we will not let it hinder the investment process,” Maliki added.
