IHEC registers nominations for Kurdistan presidency

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Independent High Electoral Commission’s (IHEC) office in Arbil city on Tuesday said it has started registering nominations for the Kurdistan presidency. “The registration process, which started today, will end on May 25, two months before the regional elections,” an official from the office, Handreen Mohammed, told IraqiNews.com news agency. A presidential candidate should not be less than 40 years of age. He should pay 25 million Iraqi dinars to the commission, be a resident of the region with an honorable political record.
