ISX index down by 2% on Tuesday

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Stock Exchange (ISX) index went down by 2.209 percent to settle at 295.455 points, during Tuesday’s session. Traded shares in Tuesday’s session exceeded 2.069 billion at a total value of over 1.760 billion dinars ($1.5 million) by implementing 241 contracts. Shares of 38 companies were traded in today’s session, of which 9 shares jumped, 12 slumped, and 17 maintained their previous levels. The investment sector achieved the highest trading volume with 63.6 percent. The Iraqi Stock Exchange, established under Law No. 74 of the year 2004, held its first session on June 24, 2004. The stock market holds three sessions a week: Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. SH (P)/SR 1
