Diala official arrested for “corruption” charges

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen arrested the social care department inspector in Diala on charges of involvement in administrative and financial corruption on Thursday, an official security source said. “Forces from the 1st Emergency Contingent of the Diala Police Department raided the social care department in Baaquba and arrested inspector Rafie Layezh Hamad upon a warrant from the Khanaqin district court on charges of involvement in administrative and financial corruption,” the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told IraqiNews.com news agency. The source did not give further details while the social care department director, Saad Qassem, declined to give any statements in this regard.
