40 people arrested in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested 40 wanted and suspected gunmen and seized unlicensed vehicles Friday during security operations in separate areas of Basra, the Basra police’s information office said. “Police forces on Friday (May 22) waged security operations in separate areas of Basra, where they arrested 12 wanted men and 28 suspected gunmen,” the office told IraqiNews.com news agency. “They seized 12 unlicensed vehicles and nine motorcycles,” it added.
