Iraq’s oil prices lower than the international average

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s oil prices per barrel are $8-10 less than the international average, as Iraq’s crude costs a little over $50 per barrel, while the international price of crude oil is at $62 per barrel, the official spokesperson of the Iraqi Oil Ministry said on Saturday. “The Ministry accomplished the oil price of $50 per barrel as was specified in the budget of 2009,” Assim Jihad told IraqiNews.com news agency. “This will add to the country’s treasury,” he said. “We want Iraq to sell its oil at the best price,” he added.
