Maliki agrees to trade minister’s resignation

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Monday agreed to the resignation presented by Trade Minister Abdulfalah al-Sudani, according to a statement from al-Maliki’s office. “The premier agreed to the resignation presented by al-Sudani,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The minister had presented his resignation on May 14 but the premier postponed it to give the parliament the opportunity to exercise its supervisory role within the constitution and the law,” it added.
