Armed group detained in western Anbar

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Police forces on Wednesday arrested a group of four people involved in planting bombs in north of Heit district, a police source said. “Policemen on Wednesday (May 27) arrested a four-person group involved in planting explosive charges and targeting security forces in al-Basateen region in north of Heit,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The operation was based on intelligence information and citizens’ cooperation,” he added. Heit is 180 km west of Baghdad, while Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, lies 110 km west of Baghdad. SH (P) 1
