Belgian FM to meet Barzani Thursday afternoon

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht and his accompanying delegation will arrive in Kurdistan region on Thursday afternoon to meet President Massoud Barzani, a press source said. “The Belgian minister will arrive in the Salah el-Din resort in Kurdistan region on Thursday afternoon (May 28) to meet President Massoud Barzani,” Faisal al-Dabagh, the press secretary of the Kurdish president, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The two will hold a press conference after the meeting,” he added, without giving further details. De Gucht had arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday morning (May 27) on a surprise visit to the country. He held a press conference with his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zebari upon his arrival.
