Correspondent, journalist wounded by IED in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A TV correspondent and a sports journalist on Sunday were wounded in an explosive charge blast in Mosul city, according to a local security source. “A sticky improvised explosive device (IED) targeted the vehicle of Alaa Abdulwahab, a correspondent for al-Baghdadiya Channel in Mosul; and a sports journalist, Sultan Girgis, who was in his company, in al-Majmoua al-Thaqafiya area, northern Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The wounded were rushed to al-Jumhouri Hospital for treatment,” the source noted, adding that the journalist is currently in a critical condition.
