MP demands to compensate Iraqis worked in Kuwait before 1991

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: MP from the Iraqi List, Saad Safouk al-Massoudi, on Wednesday urged the parliament and the Iraqi government to talk with the Kuwaiti side to compensate Iraqis who had been sacked by the Kuwaiti government after 1991. “The Kuwaiti government sacked a large number of Iraqis after 1991 and confiscated their properties,” al-Massoudi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “There are thousands of Iraqis who worked in Kuwait before the first gulf war and they exist in Iraq now,” he added. He called on the international organizations, the UN and the human rights organizations to support those Iraqis and to help demanding the Kuwaiti government to compensate them. SH (P) 1
