Mosul car bomb casualties up to 17

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Casualties from Thursday’s earlier car bomb attack that targeted a foreign security firm patrol rose to one death and 16 wounded, a source from Ninewa police said. “Casualties from the attack that took place in al-Dawasa area, central Mosul, rose to one death and 16 wounded, all of them civilians,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The car bomb was parked on the roadside and was not driven by a suicide bomber,” he added. Earlier, a Ninewa police source told IraqiNews.com that an explosive vehicle driven by a suicide bomber went off near a foreign security firm patrol, leaving one civilian killed and four others wounded. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
