4 IEDs defused, 2 wanted persons captured in Falluja

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Policemen from the village of Zawbaa, eastern Falluja, defused four improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and arrested two wanted men, a local security source said on Sunday. “The force defused the explosive charges while on duty in the area. The IEDs were planted on the patrol tracks and emplaced in a way to ambush police patrols,” Cap. Mohammed Kamel told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The local residents have cooperated with the security agencies by reporting the places of these IEDs and the wanted men’s whereabouts,” he added. Falluja, the largest city in the predominantly Sunni province of al-Anbar, lies 45 km west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
