House of Salah el-Din council’s member attacked

SALAH EL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: A member of the Salah el-Din council from the Iraqi List, Faten Abdulqader, said on Monday that her house was attacked by machine guns but without casualties. “ My house in al-Qad i s siya neighborhood in the north of Tikrit was attacked early Monday (June 8) with machine guns by gunmen,” she told IraqiNews.com news agency. “They opened fire at the house and broke the windows by thanks god no one of my family was hurt,” she added. She demanded to increase the number of local council’s members’ bodyguards. For his part, the head of the security committee in Salah el-Din, Mohamed Fadel, said that “an investigation committee was formed on the incident and to know who stands behind the attack.” Tikrit, the capital of Salah el-Din, lies 175 km north of Baghdad .
