Parliament’s chairmanship to meet Monday on questioning oil minister

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The parliament’s chairmanship will hold a meeting later on Monday to set a date to question Oil Minister Hussein al-Shahrestani, the head of the oil and gas committee said. “I expect that the parliament’s chairmanship will set during its meeting Monday (June 8) a date to question Oil Minister Hussein al-Shahrestani,” Ali H ussein Balou told IraqiNews.com news agency, noting that administrative obstacles delayed his questioning. “All the committee’s members agreed to question the oil minister,” he added. “There is no authority could prevent questioning ministers and activating the parliament’s supervising role,” the lawmaker asserted, SH (P)/SR 1
