Lawmaker says major blocs hinder legislation on parties

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A Kurdistan Alliance (KA) leader on Tuesday said that the country’s major political parties are working against the passage of a law on parties. “The law has not been discussed thus far because big parties want to receive finance and arms in the absence of a law,” MP Mahmoud Othman told IraqiNews.com news agency.
