Kurdistan MPs to discuss region’s budget next Monday

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Kurdistan parliament Thursday decided to postpone its debate over the region’s budget of 2009 to next Monday (June 15), said the media advisor for the parliament speaker. “During the past two days, the parliament read and debated reports related to the budget,” Tareq Jawhar told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Parliamentary sessions will not be covered by TV after the end of debate over the budget so that lawmakers would not use the on-air broadcast for electoral purposes,” he said.
