Maliki says anti-corruption campaign to continue

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Monday said that his government’s campaign against financial, administrative and political corruption will continue until its goals are met. “The security campaign is ongoing and the construction campaign is ongoing, too,” Maliki said in a speech during the inauguration ceremony of Babel Teaching Hospital. “Today, while launching the construction campaign, we must have a high sense of awareness to prevent the infiltration of terrorists into the security apparatus…,” Maliki noted. Accompanied by the minister of health, Saleh al-Hasnawi, Maliki had arrived in the province of Babel to lay the foundation stone for a new teaching hospital at a cost of $150 million U.S. dollars.
