Marketing 83,670 tons of wheat, barley in Najaf

NAJAF / IraqiNews.com: A total of 83,670 tons of wheat and barley have been marketed in Najaf in 2009, the director of the Najaf agriculture department said on Wednesday. “190 donums have been cultivated this season and farmers marketed 81,500 tons of wheat and 2,170 tons of barley,” Mohamed Radi Hassan told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The agriculture department provided farmers with all equipments and requirements for cultivating wheat and barley,” he added.
